As a musician, Christmas time is notoriously my busiest time of year because let’s be straight up honest- if Christmas music doesn’t make you feel all the warm fuzzies then you might be dead inside. But you won’t hear any complaints from me because I love singing those warm, cozy songs about baby Jesus, heavy snowfall and ol’ Saint Nick just about as much as a 2 year old loves Christmas cookies (which, I found our recently, is quite a lot.!)
This week as we count down to our Savior’s birthday, I thought I would post some of my favorites here for my fellow seasonal music lovers to enjoy. I’m starting with a favorite. If you don’t love this sweet song about chestnuts roasting on an open fire then there’s a pretty good chance we can’t be friends. (Just kidding.... sortof...). I recorded this with my partner in crime and pianist extraordinaire Nancy Gowan before she up and left me to vacation in sunny CA for two weeks (the nerve, right?!)
Cozy up with a glass of something warm and enjoy.
